Championship: Short Stack Ninja

$2500 + $200 Championship Deep Stack No Limit Hold'em (Re-Entry)

Lieblein's All Day Grind

We first caught up with Corey Lieblein (Port Washington, NY) this time last year on his way to the final three tables of the 2011 Borgata Fall Poker Open.

If he's going to make it to Day 3 this time, or even Day 2, Lieblein has a lot of work to do.  He's been all in 12 times, getting four double-ups.

"I've been short stacked since noon," says the consumer electronics company owner, "Big chunks of chips," he says about the hands he's lost.

Lieblein's been as low as 7k and says his average stack throughout the day has been in the 10k-15k range, and once got back to the 30k starting stack, but it was short lived. He's currently at 11k  heading to the last break of the day.

Lieblein picked up $9,000 for last year's 23rd place finish.  The way he's running now, he may be happy if he bags 9k in chips at the end of the night.
