Jared Jaffee (Brooklyn, NY) had chipped up to 535k.
Then he tangled in this big hand with the other big stack, Daniel Chan:
Daniel raised pre-flop from the hijack and was called by Jared on the button and Mike 'Little Man' Sica in the big blind.
On the flop of A♠8♠4♣, Mike checked, Daniel bet, Jared called, and Mike folded.
Turn was the 9♣.

Daniel bet 24,400 and Jared again called.
River was the 8♥.
Daniel fired 55,800. Jared announced "raise" and kicked it up another 109k on top.
Daniel gave it some thought, then folded. He was left with about 420k.
Jared showed the K♦ as he collected the pot. He's now up to ~640k and the new chip leader.
