McKenna (2nd from left) Playing the Bounty Satellite
The first of three Sunday satellites is in the books, but two more play on.
The 3 pm still has two tables, with the final table earning seats into the Championship. Meanwhile, the 7 pm has a long way to go, and players are loving the format.
"I think this is the best decision for a qualifier ever," says Jeremiah McKenna (Norwalk, CT), "when I saw it, I said 'I have to play.'"
The satellite is $270 + $30 + $100 bounty, where ~1 in 10 players earn seats into Day 1B. A player collecting four bounties covers their qualifier entry fee.
"400 in bounties pays for this tournament so you can truly free roll your way into the Main, it's great" figures McKenna. "They should call this the $270 + $30 + bounty free roll." Of course free rolling into the Championship event means you have to be one of the survivors.
The last chance for players to get into the Championship at a discount is 10 am Monday.
While not a true qualifier, the $270 + $30 Super Turbo Survivor has ~1 in 10 winning $2,700, which coincidentally is the same amount as the $2,700 Day 1B entry fee.
