Michael Cicalese, a banker from Haddon Heights, NJ, clinched the win after getting it in with 99, and holding.
He beat out 2012 Spring Poker Open 2nd place finisher, Larry Abrams and says he will proudly display his trophy on the table where he plays casual friendly games with his buddies occasionally.
"This is my first cash EVER in a tournament, and I couldn't be more thrilled that I have a TROPHY!", said Cicalese, who then added "The thing is; I told my wife the buy-in was only $100!" and grinned sheepishly as he pointed out the ACTUAL tournament buy-in etched on the trophy glass.
We'll lay you a zillion to one that the $14K plus will buy you a reprieve as far as the Little Missus is concerned, good sir.
